स्ववित्तं तेन दत्तं तु दत्तात्रेयाय कारणे । क्षत्रधर्म पुरस्कृत्य विनयं श्रुतमेव च

Transliteration

svavittaṁ tena dattaṁ tu dattātreyāya kāraṇe | kṣatradharma-puraskṛtya vinayaṁ śrutam eva ca

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「それから彼は、その目的のために自らの財をダッタートレーヤに施し、まず何よりもクシャトリヤの法（クシャトラ・ダルマ）—武人の務め—を掲げ、また謙譲の作法と、聖なる教えとして聞き伝えられたことに従って行動した。」
