Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | hutāśana-samān etān mahā-rūpān mahaujasāḥ | ugra-kāyān mahā-sattvān kīrtayet kīrti-vardhanān |

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「これらの王たちは祭火のごとく輝き、比類なく麗しく、大いなる気力を備え、身の威容は猛々しく、勇気は高邁であった。ゆえに彼らを唱え、記憶すべきである。その想起は自らの名声を増し、心を高き理想へと引き上げる。」
