उदीर्ण: सर्वतश्नक्षुनीश: शाश्वतस्थिर: । भूशयो भूषणो भूतिर्विशोक: शोकनाशन:

udīrṇaḥ sarvataś-cakṣuḥ anīśaḥ śāśvata-sthiraḥ | bhūśayaḥ bhūṣaṇaḥ bhūtiḥ viśokaḥ śoka-nāśanaḥ ||

ビーシュマは言った。「彼は崇高なる者——あらゆる方角を見通し、いかなる支配者にも従わず、永遠に揺るがず不変である。大地に身を横たえた者であり、世界を飾る者であり、あらゆる繁栄と神威の根拠である。自らは憂いなく、彼を憶念する者の憂いを滅する。」
