गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम सत्य: सत्यपराक्रम: । निमिषो5निमिष: सत्रग्वी वाचस्पतिरुदारथी:

gurur gurutamo dhāma satyaḥ satyaparākramaḥ | nimiṣo'nimiṣaḥ sragvī vācaspatir udāradhīḥ ||

ビーシュマは言った。「彼はグル(Guru)—至上の師。師の中の最尊。万有の住処にして帰依処である。彼は真理そのもの、武威は決して空しくならぬ。彼はヨーガの眠りに眼を閉じる者であり、また瞬きせぬ者として魚の姿を取る。勝利の花鬘を戴き、言語と知の主(ヴァーチャスパティ)として、万象を顕現させる高雅で照明する बुद्धि を具える。」
