यशः प्राप्नोति विपुलं ज्ञातिप्राधान्यमेव च । अचलां श्रियमाप्रोति श्रेय: प्राप्रोत्यनुत्तमम्‌

yaśaḥ prāpnoti vipulaṁ jñāti-prādhānyam eva ca | acalāṁ śriyam āpnoti śreyaḥ prāpnoty anuttamam || yo bhaktimān puruṣaḥ sadā prātaḥ-kāle utthāya snātvā pavitraḥ san manasā viṣṇuṁ dhyāyan idaṁ vāsudeva-sahasra-nāma suṣṭhu paṭhati, sa mahad yaśaḥ prāpnoti, jātiṣu māhātmyaṁ prāpnoti, acalāṁ sampattiṁ prāpnoti, ati-uttamaṁ kalyāṇaṁ prāpnoti; tasya ca kvacid bhayaṁ na bhavati | sa vīryaṁ tejaś ca prāpnoti, ārogyavān kāntimān balavān rūpavān sarva-guṇa-sampannaś ca bhavati ||

ビーシュマは言った。彼は豊かな名声を得、また親族の中でも卓越した地位を得る。揺るがぬ繁栄と無上の善を得る。暁に起き、沐浴して清め、ついでヴィシュヌを心に観じ、このヴァースデーヴァ千名の讃歌を正しく誦する信心の人は、大いなる名誉と家系の尊崇、確かな富、そして最上の安寧を勝ち取る。いかなる所にも恐れは起こらない。精気と内なる光輝を得て、健やかにして輝き、強く、美しく、あらゆる徳を具える者となる。
