Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
ग्रहस्यथातिबलस्याजड्रे वरदत्तस्य धीमत: । न शस्त्राणि वहन्त्यड्रे चक्रवज्ञशतान्यपि
grahasyathātibalasyāḍre varadattasya dhīmataḥ | na śastrāṇi vahantyāḍre cakravajñaśatāny api ||
ヴァースデーヴァは語った。「そのグラハは、強大にして聡明、しかも恩寵（ヴァラ）を授けられていたため、円盤（チャクラ）や金剛杵（ヴァジュラ）のごとく鋭い武器が幾百あろうとも、その身を貫くことはできなかった。ゆえに、ただ力と武具に頼るだけでは、神の加護を受ける者には及ばぬのだ。」
