Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अर्द्धमानाश्च विबुधा ग्रहेण सुबलीयसा । शिवदत्तवरान् जष्नुरसुरेन्द्रान सुरा भूशम्
arddhamānāś ca vibudhā graheṇa subalīyasā | śivadattavarān jaṣṇur asurendrān surā bhūśam ||
ヴァースデーヴァは語った。「その比類なき力をもつグラハが神々を悩ませ始めると、デーヴァたちは苦境にありながらも反撃し、シヴァより恩寵を得たアスラの王たちを打ち破った。かくして長き戦が続いたのである。神の加護に守られた力であっても、圧政に用いられるなら、抗いと尽きぬ争いを招くことを示している。」
