भूतिकामेन मर्त्येन सत्यमेतद् ब्रवीमि ते । इस प्रकार उत्तम कुलमें उत्पन्न हुए ब्राह्मणोंने पूर्वकालमें यह प्रत्यक्ष देखा और अनुभव किया है; अत: अपना कल्याण चाहनेवाले मनुष्योंको शास्त्रमें जिन्हें त्याज्य बतलाया है
bhūtikāmena martyena satyam etad bravīmi te |
シャクラは言った。「繁栄と安寧を求める凡人のために、私はこれを真実として汝に告げる。昔、すぐれた家系に生まれたバラモンたちは、これを直に見て、経験によって確かめた。ゆえに自らの益を願う者は、シャーストラ（śāstra）が捨つべしと説く行いを捨て、命ぜられた務めを常に行い続けねばならぬ。これが私の与える真実の訓戒である。」
