The verse presents dharmic reassurance: even a binding curse can be undone through the advent of a righteous agent. It highlights faith in moral order—virtue and rightful kingship become instruments of release and restoration.
Bhṛgu foretells that a future king, Yudhiṣṭhira—described as the foremost upholder of the lineage—will free the addressed person from a curse. After delivering this prophecy, Bhṛgu disappears.
