Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla

तीक्ष्णवीर्यस्ति भूतानां दुरालम्भा: सकण्टका: । रक्तभूयिष्ठवर्णाश्न कृष्णाश्वलैवोपहारयेत्‌

tīkṣṇavīryāsti bhūtānāṃ durālambhāḥ sakaṇṭakāḥ | raktabhūyiṣṭhavarṇāś ca kṛṣṇāś cāśvalaiḥ upahārayet ||

シュクラは言った。「ブータ(bhūta)などの霊なるものには、鋭く強い力を帯びた花を捧げよ—手に取りがたく、棘をもち、赤または黒を主とする花である。そのような供えは、彼らの霊とその儀礼にふさわしいとされる。」
