Householder Duties and Daily Offerings
पितृन् संतर्पयित्वा तु बलिं कुर्याद् विधानतः । वैश्वदेवं ततः कुर्यात् पश्चाद् ब्राह्यगवाचनम्
pitṝn santarpayitvā tu baliṁ kuryād vidhānataḥ | vaiśvadevaṁ tataḥ kuryāt paścād brāhyagavācanam ||
まず定められた供物によって祖霊ピトリ（Pitṛ）を満たし、そののち作法にかなって日々のバリ（bali）を供えるべきである。次いでヴァイシュヴァデーヴァ（Vaiśvadeva）の儀礼を行い、最後に婆羅門の聖なる学の誦読と教授へと進む—かくして家の務めをダルマに従い整えるのである。
