Educational Q&A

A ruler grounded in dharma becomes a source of calm joy and trust for society; when kingship is pure and benevolent, the people’s outward perception (eyes) and inner life (hearts) harmonize in contentment.

The narrator describes how the subjects respond to Yudhiṣṭhira: because they deeply love him, merely seeing him makes them rejoice, likened to the delight inspired by a spotless full moon.
