Bhīṣma’s Counsel on Reconciliation and Partition (भीष्मोपदेशः—संधि-राज्यविभागविचारः)
अनुज्ञातास्तु ते सर्वे कृष्णेनामिततेजसा । आसजनेषु महार्लेंषु निषेदुर्द्धिपदां वरा:,फिर अमित-तेजस्वी व्यासजीकी आज्ञा पाकर वे सभी नरश्रेष्ठ बहुमूल्य आसनोंपर बैठे
anujñātās tu te sarve kṛṣṇenāmitatejasā | āsaneṣu mahārheṣu niṣedur dvipadāṃ varāḥ ||
計り知れぬ光輝をもつクリシュナ（ヴィヤーサ）の許しを得て、彼ら人中の俊傑たちは、いずれも高価な座に着いた。この場面は礼法を際立たせる。いかに偉大であろうとも、許可を受けてから座し、序列と饗応、そして自制を尊ぶのである。
