ममापि चेद्‌ भवेदेवमी श्वरस्य सतो महत्‌ | उपेक्षमाणस्य पुनर्लोकानां किल्बिषाद्‌ भयम्‌

Transliteration

mama api ced bhaved evam īśvarasya sataḥ mahat | upekṣamāṇasya punar lokānāṁ kilbiṣād bhayam | śaktiṁ cāpi hi dharmajña nātikrāntum ihārhasi | prajāyāś ca mamocchedaṁ na caivaṁ kartum arhasi ||

Translation

アウルヴァは言った。「たとえ私であっても—力を備えていながら—人々がかくも大いなる悪をなすのを無関心に見過ごすなら、罪への恐れを負うであろう。そなたもまた、ダルマを知る者よ、シャクティの定めた限界を踏み越えてはならぬ。さらに、私の子孫をこのように滅ぼすのも正しくない。」
