Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
ततो वासुकिरभ्येत्य नागैरनुगतस्तदा
tato vāsukir abhyetya nāgair anugatas tadā
そのときヴァースキ（Vāsuki）は、ナーガ（Nāga）たちを従えて近づいた。彼は、長き腕をもつ、剛力にして恐るべきビーマセーナ（Bhīmasena）を見た。まさにその瞬間、ナーガ王アーリヤカ（Āryaka）もまた彼を見とめた—アーリヤカは、プṛター（Pṛthā）の父シュūrasena（Śūrasena）の母方の祖父である。アーリヤカは自らの末裔の末裔を知り、胸にきつく抱きしめて歓喜した。名高きナーガ王ヴァースキもまたビーマに大いに満足し、こう言った。「彼のために、いかなる喜ばしい奉仕をなすべきか。財宝の山—黄金と宝玉の堆—を贈るべきか。」
