पोथयन्तं महाबाहुं त्वं वै तं ज्ञातुमरहसि । “वह हमलोगोंके पास बेहोशीकी हालतमें आया था
vaishampāyana uvāca | pothayantaṃ mahābāhuṃ tvaṃ vai taṃ jñātum arhasi | “sa hy asmākaṃ samīpaṃ mūrcchitaḥ samāgataḥ, kintu asmābhiḥ daṣṭaḥ san prabuddho bhūtvā saṃjñāṃ prāptaḥ | saṃjñāṃ prāpya tu sa mahābāhuḥ sarvān bandhanān śīghraṃ bhittvā asmān parājayituṃ pravṛttaḥ | tvaṃ gatvā taṃ parijānīhi”
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「汝は、我らを打ち伏せているあの大臂の男を見分けねばならぬ。彼は気絶したまま我らのもとへ来たが、我らが噛みつくと目を覚まし、意識を取り戻した。正気に返るや否や、その強き戦士はたちまち一切の縄目を断ち切り、我らを圧倒し始めた。行って、彼が誰かを確かめよ。」
