Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
ततो बलमतिख्यात॑ धारतराष्ट्र: प्रतापवान् । भीमसेनस्य तज्ज्ञात्वा दुष्टरभावमदर्शयत्
tato balam atikhyātaṃ dhārtarāṣṭraḥ pratāpavān | bhīmasenasya taj jñātvā duṣṭabhāvam adarśayat ||
そのとき、ドリタラーシュトラの勇ましき子ドゥルヨーダナは、ビーマセーナの名高い強力を知るや、彼に対して邪な心をあらわし始めた。この出来事は、嫉妬と敵意の萌芽を示す。すなわち他者の卓越を認めながら、それを敬意ある範とせず、不義の競争の種としてしまうのである。
