सन्ति क्वचिन्महादर्यों दुर्गा: काश्चिद् दुरासदा: । नातिक्रामेत पक्षी यान् कुत एवेतरे मृगा:
santi kvacin mahādaryō durgāḥ kāścid durāsadāḥ | nātikrāmet pakṣī yān kuta evetare mṛgāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「ある所には巨大な洞窟と危険な隘路があり、入り込むことがきわめて難しく、近づくことさえ困難なものもある。そのような地は鳥ですら越えられぬ——まして鹿など他の生きものにおいては言うまでもない。」
