Suta Goswami (narrating Linga Purana’s dharma-vidhi to the sages at Naimisharanya)
It clarifies that after a death-related impurity, bathing restores ritual fitness, protecting continuity of Shiva-puja while observing the prescribed duration of ashauca.
By emphasizing shuddhi through simple purification, it aligns with Shiva as Pati—graceful and accessible—while dharmic discipline regulates the pashu’s conduct under pasha (ritual and social bonds).
A shuddhi-vidhi: snāna (ritual bath) as the immediate purifier after a death, with a specified one-day ashauca for those within ‘three ṛtus’ (very early age).
