वासन्तिकस् तथा ग्रैष्मः शुभो वै वार्षिकस् तथा शारदश् च हिमश्चैव शैशिर ऋतवः स्मृताः

Transliteration

vāsantikas tathā graiṣmaḥ śubho vai vārṣikas tathā śāradaś ca himaścaiva śaiśira ṛtavaḥ smṛtāḥ

Translation

季節は次のように記憶される。ヴァーサンティカ（春）、グライシュマ（夏）、吉祥なるヴァールシカ（雨季）、シャーラダ（秋）、ヒマ（冬）、そしてシャイシラ（露の季節）。かくしてṛtuの輪は、主（パティ）が世に秩序正しく顕現する一環として説き示される。
