यथा घनोऽर्कप्रभवोऽर्कदर्शितो ह्यर्कांशभूतस्य च चक्षुषस्तम: । एवं त्वहं ब्रह्मगुणस्तदीक्षितो ब्रह्मांशकस्यात्मन आत्मबन्धन: ॥ ३२ ॥
yathā ghano ’rka-prabhavo ’rka-darśito hy arkāṁśa-bhūtasya ca cakṣuṣas tamaḥ evaṁ tv ahaṁ brahma-guṇas tad-īkṣito brahmāṁśakasyātmana ātma-bandhanaḥ
雲は太陽から生じ、太陽によって見えるようになるのに、それでも太陽の部分的な顕現である眼に闇をもたらす。同様に、絶対者から生じ絶対者によって顕れる物質的な偽我（アハンカーラ）は、絶対者の分霊である個我が至上のブラフマンを悟るのを妨げる。
