मातादित्यानां दुहिता वसूनां प्राणः प्रजानाममृतस्य नाभिः । हिरण्यवर्णा मधुकशा घृताची महान् गर्भश्चरति मर्त्येषु

IAST Transliteration

mātā́dityā́nāṃ duhitā́ vasū́nāṃ prāṇáḥ prajā́nām amṛ́tasya nā́bhiḥ | híraṇyavarṇā madhukaśā́ ghṛtā́cī mahā́n gárbhaś carati mártyeṣu ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Mother of the Ādityas, daughter of the Vasus—breath of creatures, navel-hub of immortality: golden-hued Madhukaśā, ghee-bright, a mighty embryo, moves among mortals.

Translation

彼女はアーディティヤ（Ādityas）の母、ヴァス（Vasus）の娘——生きもののプラーナ（prāṇa）、アムリタ（amṛta）不死の臍の要である。黄金の色を帯び、ギー（ghṛta）のごとく輝く蜜鞘草マドゥカシャー（Madhukaśā）は、偉大な胎として、死すべき者たちの間を巡り行く。
