मा त्वा॑ वृ॒क्षः सं बा॑धिष्ट॒ मा दे॒वी पृ॑थि॒वी म॒ही। लो॒कं पि॒तृषु॑ वि॒त्त्वैध॑स्व य॒मरा॑जसु
mā́ tvā vr̥kṣáḥ sáṃ bādhiṣṭa mā́ devī́ pr̥thivī́ mahī́ | lokáṃ pitṛ́ṣu vidvā́ édhasva yamarā́jasu
Let not the wood oppress thee; let not the Goddess Earth, the mighty, press upon thee. Knowing, win thee a world among the Fathers; wax thou in the realms of King Yama.
木よ、汝を圧することなかれ。女神なる大地、偉大なるものよ、汝を押しつぶすことなかれ。知りて、祖霊(Pitṛ)たちのうちに一つの世界を得よ。閻魔王(Yama-rāja)の国土において増し栄えよ。
