Sukta 2
यो३भियातो निलयते त्वां रुद्र निचिकीर्षति । पश्चादनुप्रयुङ्क्षे तं विद्धस्य पदनीरिव
yó bhiyā́to niláyate tvā́ṃ rudra nicikī́rṣati | paścā́d anupráyuṅkṣe táṃ viddhásya padanī́r iva ||
Whoso, in fear, hideth him, and would work thee harm, O Rudra—him dost thou pursue from behind, as one followeth the footprints of a man that hath been pierced.
恐れのゆえに身を隠し、汝に害をなさんとする者よ、ルドラよ——汝はその者を後ろより追い迫る。刺し貫かれた人の足跡を追うがごとく。
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angiras attribution (anukramaṇī-dependent).
Devata: Rudra as pursuer and punisher
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like (two-pāda compact threat-formula; scansion depends on recension).
{"primary_rasa":"raudra","secondary_rasa":"bhayankara","emotional_arc":"From fear/secret plotting to inevitable capture and retribution.","listener_experience":"A protective shiver: the hidden enemy feels watched; the protected reciter feels backed by a fierce guardian.","intensity":8}
