mahád yákṣaṃ bhúvanasya mádhye tápasi krā́ntaṃ salilásya pṛṣṭhé | tásmiñ chrā́yante yá u ké ca devā́ vṛkṣásya skándhaḥ paríta iva śā́khāḥ
A mighty Wonder standeth in the midmost of the world, set firm by Heat upon the surface of the Flood. Thereon repose whatever Gods there be, as branches round about the trunk of a tree.
Rishi: Skambha-hymn seer per Atharvanic anukramaṇī tradition (Atharvan/Angiras affiliation typical)
Devata: Skambha / Brahman as ‘mahadyakṣa’
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like (longer pādas; hymn often mixes meters in speculative sections)
{"primary_rasa":"adbhuta","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_arc":"Awe at the wonder → recognition of dependency → settling into calm certainty.","listener_experience":"Vastness and reassurance: many powers are held by one center.","intensity":5}
