Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Mantra","secondary_vidya":"Cosmology","practical_application":"Use homa framed by Vedic correspondences (triads and sevens—Vedas, fires, worlds, vyahritis) as an all-purpose purifier in ritual life.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"List","entry_title":"Homa as akhila-agha-hara: triads (Vedas/devas/agni) and sevens (vyahritis/lokas)","lookup_keywords":["homa","trayo vedah","trayo agnayah","mahavyahriti","sapta loka"],"quick_summary":"The verse maps homa to key Vedic-cosmic sets (threefold and sevenfold); performed with this awareness, homa is declared a destroyer of all sins."}

Concept: Ritual action (homa) mirrors cosmic structure (triads/sevens); aligning micro-rite with macrocosm yields purification.

Application: When performing homa, consciously invoke/remember the triads (Vedas, deities, fires) and the sevens (vyahritis, worlds) to stabilize sankalpa and ritual intent.

Khanda Section: Mantra-vidya & Homa-vidhi (Vedic ritual essentials and purificatory fire-sacrifice)

FAQs

It compresses core homa-vidhi doctrine into a mnemonic list: the triads (Gāyatrī measure, three Vedas, three fires, three deities) and the sevens (Mahāvyāhṛtis and Lokas), framing Homa as a rite aligned with Vedic mantra-cosmology.

By cataloging foundational Vedic categories (triads and sevens) in a single verse, it functions like a ritual index—linking mantra (Vyāhṛtis), liturgy (three fires), scripture (three Vedas), and cosmology (seven worlds) into one practical purificatory framework.

It asserts that properly performed homa, grounded in these Vedic correspondences, is akhilāghahā—capable of burning up accumulated demerit and purifying the performer through sacrificial fire and mantra.
