Concept: Grahas are approached as powers whose adverse indications can be ritually harmonized; mantra + homa functions as a remedial technology within jyotiṣa-śānti.
Application: When undertaking graha-śānti, integrate mantra-authority with a concrete offering medium (ghee) and a defined mantra-set rather than improvising; treat it as a structured remedial rite.

Related Themes: Agni Purana jyotiṣa-śānti and graha-prakaraṇa sections; homa-vidhi for ājya offerings
It prescribes a Graha-Śānti homa: offer ghee oblations while reciting two specific mantras indicated by their opening words (“gāvo …” and “bhaga …”) to obtain planetary pacification and favor.
It demonstrates the text’s practical ritual-technology: alongside theology and narrative, the Agni Purana preserves applied Jyotiṣa remedies—mantra-identified homa procedures used to address graha-related afflictions.
By performing mantra-guided ghee offerings, the practitioner seeks graha-prasāda (propitiatory grace), understood as reducing obstructive karma manifesting as planetary distress and restoring auspicious conditions.
