FAQs

It prescribes specific homa-dravyas (oblation substances): offering dhustūra-flowers with ghee is said to grant desired aims, while offering guggulu is said to yield a dream-vision of Śiva.

It catalogs practical, itemized ritual correspondences—linking particular botanical/resin substances (dhustūra, guggulu) with specific results—showing the text’s compendium-style coverage of applied ritual technology (homa-kalpa).

The verse frames ritual action (homa) as karma with defined phala: fulfillment of wishes through one offering, and devotional confirmation through a Śiva-darśana in dream through another.
