FAQs

This verse functions as phala-shruti: it conveys the karmic ‘result-knowledge’ that meritorious acts lead to svarga-bhoga—celestial conveyances (vimāna), divine music/dance, and abundance symbolized by fragrant cows.

Alongside ritual, polity, medicine, and poetics, the Agni Purana also catalogs karma-phala and cosmological imagery; this verse adds a compact svarga-varnana unit describing heavenly amenities and symbolic prosperity (cows, fragrance, apsaras, vimāna).

It underscores that dharmic merit yields refined enjoyments in the afterlife—delight, beauty, and abundance—framing ethical/ritual action as producing tangible spiritual rewards.
