दत्वा बलिं दक्षिणाभिर्वैष्णवन्तोषयेद्गुरुं रक्षाबन्धं विमुच्य चेति ख, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः पवित्रं मूलतो दद्याद्रक्षार्थं तद्विसृज्य चेति ङ, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः पवित्रकं त्वञ्च पूजायां हृदये वहेति ङ, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः विप्रान् भोजनवस्त्राद्यैर् दिवसं पक्षमेव वा
datvā baliṃ dakṣiṇābhirvaiṣṇavantoṣayedguruṃ rakṣābandhaṃ vimucya ceti kha, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ pavitraṃ mūlato dadyādrakṣārthaṃ tadvisṛjya ceti ṅa, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ pavitrakaṃ tvañca pūjāyāṃ hṛdaye vaheti ṅa, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ viprān bhojanavastrādyair divasaṃ pakṣameva vā
bali(供献)を dakṣiṇā(金銭の施与)とともに捧げ、ヴァイシュナヴァの師(Vaiṣṇava guru)を満足させるべきである。次いで rakṣā-bandha(護符の糸)を解き外す(という異本がある)。別の読みによれば、「護りのため、pavitra(加持された護りの紐/花鬘)を根元(神像/聖樹の根)に供え、のちにそれを捨てよ」とある。さらに別伝では、「礼拝の際、pavitraka を心の上に帯びよ」と言う。また、ブラーフマナたちを食物・衣服などで供養すべきである—一日であれ、あるいは半月に及ぶとしても。
