Related Themes: Agni Purana 33 (bali-vidhi; dvāra-pūjā; attendant-deity propitiation)
It teaches the procedural step of dvara-puja: bowing to Hari at the doorway, taking the bali outside, and offering it on the bali-pitha with an invocation to Viṣṇu’s attendants.
Beyond theology, it preserves operational temple/household liturgy—directional doorway rites, bali handling, and the role of parṣadas—showing the text’s coverage of applied ritual technology alongside broader Purāṇic topics.
Correctly offering bali at the proper place (outside, on the bali-pitha) and acknowledging Viṣṇu’s attendants is presented as a harmonizing act that removes obstacles at the threshold and supports ritual purity and auspiciousness.
