Dīkṣāvidhi-kathana

Explanation of the Rite of Initiation

nivṛttaṃ paramānande śuddhe buddhe smaredbudhaḥ dadyāt pūrṇāhutiṃ paścādevaṃ dīkṣā samāpyate

FAQs

It prescribes the completion-step of dīkṣā: meditate on Nivṛtti as supreme pure consciousness/bliss, then perform the pūrṇāhuti (final oblation) to formally close the rite.

It documents a precise procedural marker used in initiation and fire-ritual liturgy—showing the text’s practical coverage of ritual technology (vidhi), not only mythology or theology.

Meditation on Nivṛtti aligns the initiate with purity and liberation-oriented awareness, while the pūrṇāhuti seals the sacrificial act, signifying completion, purification, and successful consecration.
