राजर्षेस्तस्य च सरिन्नृगस्य भरतर्षभ । रम्यतीर्था बहुजला पयोष्णी द्विजसेविता,भरतकुलभूषण! राजा नृगकी नदी पयोष्णी भी उधर ही है जो रमणीय तीर्थों और अगाध जलसे सुशोभित है। द्विज उसका सेवन करते हैं
rājarṣes tasya ca sarin nṛgasya bharatarṣabha | ramyatīrthā bahujalā payoṣṇī dvijasevitā ||
Dhaumya said: “O bull among the Bharatas, there is also the river Payoṣṇī belonging to that royal sage Nṛga. Rich in lovely fords and abounding in waters, it is frequented and resorted to by the twice-born. ”
