Nala’s Reception and Reconciliation
ततत्त्वां ब्राह्मणो विद्वान् पर्णादो नाम पार्थिव । अभ्यगच्छत् कोसलायामृतुपर्णनिवेशने
tataḥ tvāṃ brāhmaṇo vidvān parṇādo nāma pārthiva | abhyagacchat kosalāyām ṛtuparṇaniveśane ||
Then, O king, a learned brāhmaṇa named Parṇāda approached you in Kosala, at the residence of Ṛtuparṇa. The episode underscores how the wise seek out those in need at the right moment, and how counsel and assistance—when offered with discernment—can become a turning point in adversity.
बृहदश्चव उवाच
The verse highlights timely, discerning assistance: the learned recognize situations of need and approach appropriately, suggesting that wisdom expressed through supportive action can restore direction and hope during hardship.
