Bṛhadaśva said: “There, the gods and the great seers exclaimed, ‘Well done! Well done, O Bhārata!’ In amazement, they raised a cry of praise, extolling King Nala.” The verse underscores how righteous conduct and noble qualities naturally draw the approval of the wise and the divine.

The verse highlights that genuine excellence—especially the virtues expected of a king—wins spontaneous recognition from the wise; moral worth is affirmed not merely by human opinion but symbolically by divine and sage approval.
Bṛhadaśva narrates that, at that moment, gods and great seers were astonished and voiced loud acclamations—‘sādhu, sādhu’—praising King Nala and celebrating his qualities and good fortune.
