यक्ष उवाच तस्य ते<र्थाच्च कामाच्च आनृशंस्यं परं मतम्‌ | तस्मात्‌ ते भ्रातर: सर्वे जीवन्तु भरतर्षभ,यक्षने कहा--भरतगश्रेष्ठ! तुमने अर्थ और कामसे भी अधिक दया और समताका आदर किया है, इसलिये तुम्हारे सभी भाई जीवित हो जायेँ

Transliteration

yakṣa uvāca tasya te 'rthāc ca kāmāc ca ānṛśaṃsyaṃ paraṃ matam | tasmāt te bhrātaraḥ sarve jīvantu bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

The Yaksha said: 'O bull among the Bharatas, you have held compassion and fairness to be superior even to the pursuits of wealth and pleasure. Therefore, let all your brothers live.'
