bhrātṛśokābhisaṃtaptas tṛṣayā ca prapīḍitaḥ | abhidudrāva pānīyaṃ tato vāg abhyabhāṣata ||
Scorched by grief for his brothers and tormented by thirst, he rushed toward the water. At that moment, a voice spoke out—checking his impulse and setting the scene for a moral test of restraint and right conduct.
