Entry into the Yakṣa-Lake Episode

The king said: “Come here, Sāvitrī. O fair one, go again and choose another husband. In him there is one great fault which, as it were, stands overpowering and eclipsing all his virtues.”

Educational Q&A

A single grave flaw can outweigh many virtues in practical judgment; elders counsel discernment in choosing a life-partner, weighing consequences rather than being carried away only by admirable qualities.

The king addresses Sāvitrī and urges her to return and choose another husband, warning that the man she has selected has one major defect that overshadows all his good qualities.
