Sāvitrī’s Dialogue with Yama and the Restoration of Satyavān
सर्व एते महात्मानो बुद्धिमन्तो महाबला: । अलं तव विनाशाय रामवीर्यबलाश्रयात्,“ये सब-के-सब महामनस्वी, बुद्धिमान् और महाबली हैं। श्रीरामचन्द्रजीके बल- पराक्रमका सहारा मिल जानेसे ये लोग आपको मार डालनेमें समर्थ हैं!
sarva ete mahātmāno buddhimanto mahābalāḥ | alaṃ tava vināśāya rāmavīryabalāśrayāt ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: “All these are great-souled men—wise and mighty. With the support of Rāma’s heroism and strength, they are fully capable of bringing about your destruction.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Nobility and discernment, when joined to righteous strength and proper support, become decisive; the verse underscores that moral and strategic backing (here, Rāma’s valor and power) makes the virtuous capable of overcoming destructive forces.
Mārkaṇḍeya warns an addressed opponent that the assembled heroes are all wise and powerful, and that with the backing of Rāma’s prowess they are sufficient to bring about that opponent’s downfall.
