Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
तेन त्वं सह संगम्य दुःखमूलं निवेदय । समानशीलो भवत: साहाय्यं स करिष्यति,“उनसे मिलकर आप अपने दुःखका कारण बताइये। उनका शील-स्वभाव आपके ही समान है। वे निश्चय ही आपकी सहायता करेंगे
tena tvaṃ saha saṅgamya duḥkhamūlaṃ nivedaya | samānaśīlo bhavataḥ sāhāyyaṃ sa kariṣyati ||
Markandeya said: “Go and meet with him, and lay before him the very root of your sorrow. His character and disposition are akin to yours; he will surely extend help to you.”
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
One should directly approach a trustworthy, like-minded person and honestly disclose the root cause of one’s suffering; ethical support arises from shared character and sympathy.
Mārkaṇḍeya gives practical counsel: the listener is urged to meet a certain person, explain the underlying cause of distress, and rely on that person’s similar disposition to obtain assistance.
