आगे जानेपर उन्होंने एक पर्वतके शिखरपर बैठे हुए पाँच श्रेष्ठ वानरोंको देखा। वहाँ उन बुद्धिमती देवीने अपना एक अत्यन्त दिव्य वस्त्र गिरा दिया || ९ तत् तेषां वानरेन्द्राणां पपात पवनोद्धुतम् । मध्ये सुपीतं पज्चानां विद्युन्मेघान्तरे यथा,वह सुन्दर पीले रंगका वस्त्र आकाशमें उड़ता हुआ उन पाँचों वानरोंके मध्यभागमें जा गिरा, मानो मेघोंके बीचमें विद्युत् प्रकट हो गयी हो
tad teṣāṁ vānarendrāṇāṁ papāta pavanoddhutam | madhye supītaṁ pañcānāṁ vidyunmeghāntare yathā ||
Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then, stirred and carried by the wind, a splendid yellow garment fell among those five lordly monkeys—like a flash of lightning appearing between clouds.
