बलिरदवर॑दौ प्रसन्नात्मा विप्रायामिततेजसे । ततो दिव्यादभुततमं रूप॑ विक्रमतो हरे:,“बलिने प्रसन्नचित्त होकर उन अमिततेजस्वी ब्राह्मणदेवताको उनकी मुहमाँगी वस्तु दे दी। तब भूमिको नापते समय श्रीहरिका अत्यन्त अद्भुत दिव्य रूप प्रकट हुआ

balir adavaradau prasannātmā viprāyāmitatejase | tato divyādbhutatamaṁ rūpaṁ vikramato hareḥ ||

Bhīmasena said: Bali, with a serene and willing heart, granted the radiant brāhmaṇa the boon he had asked for. Then, as Hari began to stride forth to measure the earth, the Lord revealed a supremely wondrous, divine form—showing how steadfast generosity and truthfulness become the occasion for the manifestation of the Divine and the testing of dharma.
