एवमस्त्विति तं राजा कृष्यमाणो जयद्रथ: । प्रोवाच पुरुषव्याप्रं भीममाहवशोभिनम्,उस समय सिन्धुराज जयद्रथ धरतीपर घसीटा जा रहा था। उसने उपर्युक्त शर्त स्वीकार कर ली और युद्धमें शोभा पानेवाले पुरुषसिंह भीमसेनसे अपनी स्वीकृति स्पष्ट बता दी
evam astv iti taṃ rājā kṛṣyamāṇo jayadrathaḥ | provāca puruṣavyāghraṃ bhīmam āhavaśobhinam ||
“So be it,” said King Jayadratha as he was being dragged along the ground. Accepting the stated condition, he clearly declared his assent to Bhīmasena—the tiger among men, resplendent in battle—thereby submitting to the demand placed upon him in the wake of his wrongdoing.
