Dhaundhumāra-Upākhyāna: The Slaying of Dhundhu and the Epithet ‘Dhundhumāra’
इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि शिबिचरिते चतुर्नवत्यधिकशततमो<ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparvaṇi śibicarite caturnavatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ
Thus ends the one-hundred-and-ninety-fourth chapter in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Vana Parva, in the subsection known as the Markandeya Samasya Parva, in the narrative of King Śibi. This closing colophon signals the completion of the chapter and frames the episode as an ethical exemplar within the forest-book’s teachings on dharma.
