निवातकवचवधः — Arjuna’s Neutralization of the Nivātakavacas

गन्धर्वाप्सरसां चैव प्रभावममितौजसाम् | नन्दनादीनि देवानां वनान्युपवनानि च,अमित तेजस्वी गन्धर्वों और अप्सराओंका प्रभाव भी मुझे प्रत्यक्ष दिखायी दिया। फिर इन्द्रसारथि मातलिने मुझे शीघ्र ही देवताओंके नन्दन आदि वन और उपवन दिखाये। तत्पश्चात् मैंने अमरावतीपुरी तथा इन्द्रभवनका दर्शन किया। वह पुरी इच्छानुसार फल देनेवाले दिव्य वृक्षों तथा रत्नोंसे सुशोभित थी। वहाँ सूर्यका ताप नहीं होता, सर्दी या गर्मीका कष्ट नहीं रहता और न किसी-को थकावट ही होती है
arjuna uvāca | gandharvāpsarasāṃ caiva prabhāvam amitaujasām | nandanādīni devānāṃ vanāny upavanāni ca |
Arjuna said: “I beheld with my own eyes the wondrous power and splendor of the Gandharvas and Apsarases, beings of immeasurable radiance. Then Mātali, Indra’s charioteer, swiftly showed me the divine groves and pleasure-woods of the gods—Nandana and the rest—revealing the ordered beauty of heaven that rewards merit and disciplined conduct.”
