Vajra-astra deployment

ṛṣayo devatāś caiva pūjayanti narottama | tataḥ kāmagamān lokān apaśyaṃ vai surarṣiṇām ||

Arjuna said: “O best of men, even the sages and the gods honored that chariot. Thereafter I beheld many assemblies of divine seers, moving through the worlds at will.” The passage underscores that true spiritual attainment commands reverence across realms, and that disciplined merit culminates in freedom of movement and vision beyond ordinary limits.

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that genuine spiritual accomplishment and divine association naturally attract reverence, and that higher merit grants expanded freedom—symbolized by the devarṣis’ ability to move through realms at will.

Arjuna narrates a celestial experience: the chariot he is associated with is honored by sages and gods, and he then witnesses groups of divine seers who traverse different worlds according to their इच्छा (will).
