निवातकवचवधः — Arjuna’s Neutralization of the Nivātakavacas

भूयश्चैव च तप्तव्यं तपश्चरणमुत्तमम् । स्वर्ग त्ववश्यं गन्तव्यं त्वया शत्रुनिष्दन,'शत्रुसूदन! अभी तुम्हें और भी उत्तम तपस्या करनी है और स्वर्गलोकमें अवश्य पदार्पण करना है
bhūyaś caiva ca taptavyaṃ tapaś caraṇam uttamam | svargaṃ tv avaśyaṃ gantavyaṃ tvayā śatruniṣūdana ||
Arjuna said: “Again, you must undertake austerity—practice the highest discipline of tapas. And you must certainly go to heaven, O slayer of foes.” In context, the line urges steadfast self-control and spiritual effort as a means to attain a higher state, framing ascetic discipline as an ethical imperative rather than mere hardship.
