आरुज्यारुज्य तौ वृक्षानन्योन्यमभिजषघ्नतु: । जीमूताविव गर्जन्तौ निनदन्तौ महाबलौ,दोनोंका बल महान् था। वे गर्जते हुए दो मेघोंकी भाँति सिंहनाद करके वृक्षोंकों तोड़- तोड़कर परस्पर चोट करते थे
ārūjyārūjya tau vṛkṣān anyonyam abhijaṣaghnatuḥ | jīmūtāv iva garjantau ninadantau mahābalau ||
Vaiśampāyana said: With great strength, the two repeatedly broke off trees and struck one another with them. Roaring and bellowing like two thunderclouds, they filled the forest with their battle-cries as they exchanged blows.
