Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)
ममेम॑ भगवन् भार व्यपनेतुं त्वमहसि । शरणागतास्मि ते देव प्रसादं कुरु मे विभो,भगवन्! मेरे इस भारको आप दूर करनेकी कृपा करें। देव! मैं आपकी शरणमें आयी हूँ। विभो! मुझपर कृपाप्रसाद कीजिये
mamemaṁ bhagavan bhāraṁ vyapanetuṁ tvam arhasi | śaraṇāgatāsmi te deva prasādaṁ kuru me vibho ||
Lomāśa said: “O Blessed Lord, please remove this burden of mine. O divine one, I have come to you for refuge; O mighty Lord, grant me your gracious favor.” The verse frames the speaker’s distress as a ‘burden’ to be lifted by the divine, emphasizing surrender (śaraṇāgati) and the ethical posture of seeking help through humility rather than force.
