Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
तयो: श्रुत्वा तु संजल्पमागच्छद् राक्षसाधम: । भीमरूपो महानादान् विसृजन् भीमदर्शन:,उन दोनोंकी बातचीत सुनकर वह भीमरूपधारी भयंकर एवं नीच राक्षस बड़े जोरसे गर्जना करता हुआ वहाँ आ पहुँचा
tayoḥ śrutvā tu saṃjalpam āgacchad rākṣasādhamaḥ | bhīmarūpo mahānādān visṛjan bhīmadarśanaḥ ||
Hearing the conversation between the two, that vile rākṣasa came there—of terrifying form and dreadful to behold—letting out thunderous roars. The scene signals the intrusion of brute violence into a human exchange, foreshadowing a moral trial where fear and aggression challenge steadiness and right conduct.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how disruptive, fear-inducing forces can intrude upon ordinary human discourse; ethically, it prepares the listener to observe how one should respond to intimidation—through steadiness, discernment, and adherence to dharma rather than panic or cruelty.
